Copenhagen's DIY rave culture ethos platform, Fast Forward Productions—a pioneering force in the evolution of fast techno—is returning to Bassiani for a Friday night takeover on May 23. Together with NDRX, its founders and close-knit crew will showcase the collective's visionary, experimental, and transgressive spirit. Sugar, whose work has been seminal in shaping Copenhagen's techno landscape, has released on renowned imprints such as Mama Told Ya, KAOS, Blue Hour, Bassiani Records, Positive Source, Kulør, and Euromantic—alongside his own Perfumery Recordings. Ezy, the mastermind behind the Endurance party series, fosters alternative cultural movements; Mohajer, a resident at Berlin's FLINTA* collective MP3, blends old-school grooves with techno and house, channelling the raw, rhythmic intensity of her Persian roots. Repro—half of the Euromantic label and Funeral Future—is a compulsive music maker who has produced hundreds of tracks across KEY Vinyl, Ectotherm, and Count 0. Joining forces with Sophie Phare in Horoom will be Kvanchi, curator of Horoom Records, and Hamatsuki, founder of the new, forward-thinking experimental label Unforeseen. Peachlyfe, aka SOFT PXRN, the rebellious queer artist and activist, blends psychoactive techno, swampy psytrance, and alien acid in their DJ sets, inducing a state of sonic mindfuck, while their holistic live performances target transcendence. Schacke—a pioneer in Denmark's industrial and noise scene—has countless releases under various pseudonyms on their own Moral Defeat label. A resident DJ and trailblazer behind the queer sex parties by Bedside Production, Schacke's artistic philosophy is rooted in contrast and duality—hard-hitting and tender, accessible and avant-garde—reflecting an intricate balance of light and shadow, embracing both the delicate and the dark.
