The Groove Night

SAT 02 MAY “The Groove Night” is being launched at @tencupslounge in Shibuya, Tokyo! The music will be a threat to your bodies, to your minds, and souls! Don’t be afraid to stumble in the groove, dance with a stranger. People of all walks of life are invited to gather for a night where we share our joy! On the Decks: FrEaKyNoRiKy @freakynoriky a queer Japanese-Indian DJ, multidisciplinary artist and designer based in Tokyo. They are the founder of Queet0pia, a collective that hosts themed events centred around showcasing Queer, Trans and BIPOC talent. Their experimental, bass-heavy sets are primarily influenced by Breakbeats, Electro, Baile Funk, Acid Techno, etc. Their love for travelling and discovering new music is apparent in their genre bending sets that will surely keep you dancing. Mamede @mamede is a DJ from the northeast of Brazil, based in Berlin. He is inspired by his roots to infuse his mixes with a festive and, at the same time, reflective spirit. Whether on a crowded dance floor or in an intimate gathering, the ultimate mission is to be able to celebrate the existence of queer and poc lives in all their splendour. it can't be done any other way: tribal beats in the service of a housy dancefloor.
