The Probe with Carrier & Lynne

Guy Brewer casts a long shadow over the extended network of techno, d&b, noise and ever more concrete electronics. His latest offering as CARRIER presents a fairly peerless vision of these intersections. With a slew of strong releases on TTT, FELT and his own Carrier imprint, Guy’s latest work specialises in deft control of dub weight and atmosphere with gorgeously contorting percussive snakes and ladders. Very high precision, bass bin alarmist rattlers - Carrier live in the place. A real gem in both Tokyo and London’s underground circuits, LYNNE is most comfortable in the grey space between genres, where her rhythm is a gravitational force. Her distinctive energy led her to win the Samurai Music Mix competition in 2013 and ever since Lynne has more or less perfected the art of percolating the dance floor. With a style that is both fluid yet utterly pneumatic, her mixes create audacious sparring between strange rhythmic ambience and jaw dropping d&b athletics. THE PROBE is Jay Galligan & RS Tangent.
