DUB CLUB PRAGUE #9: Iration Steppas ☆ Conscious Soldiers soundsystem

It's been 6 years since the last visit of the legendary 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗮𝘀, the man who shake 𝗙𝘂𝗰𝗵𝘀𝟮 club off the ground and left the Dub Clubbers in frenzy. And so we decided it was time for the great return of the 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝘂𝗯. The man who play dubs in a year 3000 style. The heavy-bass champion. The soundsystem and dubplate specialist. The man like 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Get ready, because the gates of the 9th 𝗗𝘂𝗯 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 are opening more than soon. 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 is the foundation of the West Yorkshire underground bass music scene. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗹 met in the early 1990’s when sound system culture was changing and the music was evolving. This partnership led to the development of the most progressive style of reggae and dub, which has inspired a generation of new sound systems and dub producers such as O.B.F, King Alpha, Dubkasm and many more. It also left a mark on other genres, with many other big names taking influence from the front man Mark Iration. For the past 30 years 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗮𝘀 have pushed boundaries on sound system technology, continually improving to stay at the top of their game, and have collected possibly the widest plethora of dubplates and specials of any sound system. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 (𝗜𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗮𝘀) is an entertainer and provides an experience you will not find anywhere else and you will not want to miss. 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗮𝘀 have built a proud discography with albums such as 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝘂𝗯 𝗗.𝗔.𝗧., 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘇 and 𝗗𝘂𝗯 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗮 or the album with O.B.F – as well as many singles, and all are still bought in heavy numbers around the world. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 are introducing their self-built 4-way system consisting of massive modern Paraflex speakers. After 8 years of active work, building a sound system became the next logical step. The original crew has now grown to include some members of the band 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗕𝘄𝗼𝘆 𝗥𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮 or the newly established label 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗭𝗶𝗼𝗻 Records. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 music vinyl selection specializes in reggae and dub genres. They also have a lot of dubplates with leading local and world names in their collection. Last but not least, it should be mentioned that 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 are constantly trying to develop their sound and look for new inspirations.
