We know our listeners have the firiest sunglasses and a thing for swimming - it was about time we take care of matters and bring the three letters to the beach… If you don't know Mim Suleiman, you've probably heard stuff by her, or by her producer Maurice Fulton. Banging beats with interesting percussion provide the background to her infectious singing rooted in East African Taarab and Swahili music, warming up hearts of many and lighting up dancefloors all around the world (and is even featured in Grand Theft Auto V). It is a true honour to have her perform for this special occasion! Or:la will soundtrack the nightly hours with her versatile mix of driving electronica. She has been a mainstay of the circuit for quite a while now, also running a label and producing, and has been on our list for quite some time now. Last year saw the release of her first album, proving once more her sensibilities reach far beyond the dancefloor.
