IKLECTIK and UNDER MY FEET. come together to mark their 10th anniversary, celebrating a decade of pushing the limits of sound art and experimental music within London's underground scene.
For this event, the two organisations are excited to welcome back former Coil member Drew McDowall, known for his bold, immersive live shows. His work blends intricate sound design with meditative compositions, haunting and spiritual, melding intricate modular soundscapes with cut-up samples, and deconstructing sounds into their most basic shuddering structures and shapes.
Drew will present a unique live show featuring quadrophonic sound setups to craft immersive, multi-dimensional sonic landscapes.
Making his Ormside debut is also French sound artist Aho Ssan, whose work explores the intersection of voice, electronics, and unconventional instrumentation.
Winner of the Foundation France television prize for his soundtrack to the film of Ingha Mago in 2015, his debut LP «Simulacrum» was released on the 7th of February 2020 via Subtext Recordings. Based on the concept of Jean Baudrillard, it navigates through society’s presentation of inclusivity and equality against his own experience of growing up black in France.
Opening the show is Faux Naif, known for her dynamic and sophisticated selections.
Founder of MIIM and the Manchester event series Elegia, she has been dedicated to showcasing a wide range of genres, from post-punk to body music to industrial.
UMF. founder and Tresor resident Ireen Amnes joins the line up with a rare live show.
Her music approach brings a unique mix of power electronics and layered melodies, creating soundscapes that evoke emotion and challenge the listener’s perception of space and sound.
IKLECTIK and Under My Feet have played a key role in building a global community of experimental music lovers.
This 10th-anniversary celebration reflects their commitment to innovation, artistic expression, and connection.
