𝐌𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 is back with the second edition of 𝐌𝐔𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐅𝐄(𝙰)𝐒𝐓, focusing on uncompromising live performances from cutting-edge electronic music artists (co-curated with new label associate Monstera Occulta).
This time we're bringing you 𝑶𝑷𝑬𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑻 from Berlin, head duo of the iconic experimental label Instruments Of Discipline - alongside a whole bunch of exciting local acts affiliated to Mutant Modality : 𝑺𝑼𝑴𝑴𝑬𝑹 𝑺𝑨𝑻𝑨𝑵𝑨 ; 𝑶𝑻𝑻𝑶𝑴𝑨𝑵 𝑮𝑹Ü𝑾 ; 𝑨𝑳𝑰𝑿 𝑽𝑨𝑵 𝑹𝑰𝑷𝑨𝑻𝑶 ; 𝑰𝑭𝑹𝑰𝑻 ; 𝑨 𝑩𝑶𝑫𝒀 𝑾𝑰𝑻𝑯𝑶𝑼𝑻 - all exploring the wide range of mutant sounds going from experimental, industrial, techno, body music, post-punk, and all kind of hybrid and subversive frequencies.
𝑶𝑷𝑬𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑻 (Instruments Of Discipline / Total Black)
Berlin-based live duo Operant functions at the crossroads of boundary-pushing electronic genres, from industrial electronics to black-metal to trap-folk, always with a raw and experimental sound. Comprised of Luna Vassarotti and August Skipper, their deranged performances fuse noise, power tools, and distorted vocals for an intense, surreal experience. After touring worldwide and a recent transformative residency in Uganda with Nyege Nyege, they continue their global sonic evolution, preparing for a European tour in 2025.
𝑺𝑼𝑴𝑴𝑬𝑹 𝑺𝑨𝑻𝑨𝑵𝑨 (Clan Destine / Mutant Modality)
Summer Satana is a Brussels-based composer and live performer who integrates voice, screams, drum machines and samples into an abrasive, mutant sound. Her music combines heavy rhythms, sci-fi textures, and chaotic beats to explore themes like ecocide, queer rage, and dystopian madness. With punk-club influences, her cathartic live performances offer an intense experience rooted in resistance and survival.
𝑶𝑻𝑻𝑶𝑴𝑨𝑵 𝑮𝑹Ü𝑾 (Mutant Modality / X-IMG)
OTTOMAN GRÜW blends techno/electro/EBM with industrialized post-punk and power ambient - into frenetic, hallucinatory compositions exploring themes related to post-humanism and the end of times. He has performed across Europe (with a recent stop at Berlin's Tresor) and North America, always alternating between much-needed moments of introspection and full-on brutalist action. Since 2025, the artist integrates video-projections into his performances showing kaleidoscopic landscapes made of fire and sulfur.
𝑨𝑳𝑰𝑿 𝑽𝑨𝑵 𝑹𝑰𝑷𝑨𝑻𝑶 (Red Maze)
Alix Van Ripato is a mysterious figure, invoking ancient forces through performative rituals that blend the sacred and surreal. Her music fuses darkwave and techno, creating hypnotic soundscapes that invite listeners into a liberating trance. Each live performance is a ritualistic journey, where the dancefloor becomes a space for personal transformation.
DJs :
𝑰𝑭𝑹𝑰𝑻 (Monstera Occulta & Khalnayak)
IFRIT is the musical alchemy of Monstera Occulta, blending her Moroccan roots, Arabic music, and dark ambient influences, and Khalnayak, a Mauritian artist crafting shamanic soundscapes. Together, they channel the spirit of the IFRIT (mythical being of fire and mystery), merging tradition with modernity in a captivating fusion of SWANA rhythms, Asian influences, and occult atmospheres.
𝑨 𝑩𝑶𝑫𝒀 𝑾𝑰𝑻𝑯𝑶𝑼𝑻 (2+2=5 & Ottoman Grüw)
Stemming from a self-regulating process while operating freely in order to express its pure forms and functions, A BODY WITHOUT draws inspiration from Industrial Techno, Rhythmic Noise and EBM. The project incorporates heavy atmospheres to exalt psychic tension, while channeling occult knowledge to transmute energy into sound.
