『As above, So below』 Deep Techno party "Shoukatai" was launched in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 by UG, AllA, and tec. Despite techno still having a relatively small community, this event was established to carve out its place within the local underground scene. With three resident DJs—UG, AllA, and tec—at the core, the party started by inviting a select number of guest artists. From the opening to the last track, techno enthusiasts immerse themselves in dance, their relentless movement standing as undeniable proof that Shoukatai is rising as a new symbol of Tokyo's underground scene. At the previous event, five months after celebrating its fourth anniversary, Shoukatai welcomed Hattori Hanzo—a hypnotic techno project by Costa Rica’s Linear System—alongside Yrsen, a labelmate of Hattori Hanzon on Edit Select. This time, the party brings in Psyk, a key figure in the current techno scene. Known for his remix of Planetary Assault Systems’ "Twelve" and releases under prestigious Berlin label Tresor, including "Londown" and the "Non series", Psyk has gained a reputation for his meticulously crafted and precise productions. His debut album, "Time Foundation," was released under Luke Slater’s Mote label, and he has since maintained a steady output on renowned labels, with his tracks frequently played at various venues. A longtime collaborator of Oscar Mulero, Psyk co-founded the project Second Skin and released music under James Ruskin’s Blueprint Records. With a well-established personal style and attitude towards techno, Psyk remains an artist to watch. Additionally, YUTA, representing Liquid Drop Groove, will take the stage. A multi-talented curator, YUTA is known for his role in organizing Okinawa’s open-air festival Agatida and for his diverse curatorial efforts across Tokyo venues. He recently launched the deep techno project "Pendulum" with UG, Shoukatai’s founder, at ENTER. Furthermore, his latest initiative, "Arrhythmic Pendulum," diverged from dancefloor-oriented music to explore a more immersive listening experience. As a DJ, YUTA masterfully constructs spaces and selections that are both trance-inducing and psychedelic, guiding audiences into profound mental journeys. His unparalleled approach positions him as a pioneering force within Tokyo’s techno and underground music scenes. Shoukatai’s resident tec, known for his intricate blend of ideas from different timelines, continuously expands his vision within the party. AllA, who recently released his debut EP "Awakening EP," enhances the physical engagement of techno through his productions, constantly pushing the boundaries of his field. Meanwhile, UG—the mastermind behind this party—drives the floor forward with a theme of unity and progression, embodying an avant-gardist style where concrete and kitsch coexist. The synergy between these three residents promises an electrifying experience. "As Above, So Below." A solitary safe space glimpsed beyond states of self-abandonment and obsession. The immersive, looping soundscape constantly stimulates both eye and ears, while intricately forged electronic sounds dissolve notions of identity and personal constraints. A sixth sense beyond the five—an awakened pineal gland—will guide you into a state of pure emptiness and transcendence. UG、AllA、tecの3人によって、2020年のコロナ渦より始動したディープテクノパーティ、松果体。 未だコミュニティとして広がりが小さいテクノを、ローカルアンダーグラウンドシーンの側面から切り拓き、3人のレジデント、UG、AllA、tecと数名のアーティストをゲストとして招くスタイルでスタートした本パーティは、オープンからラストまでテクノフリークスたちが踊り、その踊り続ける姿は東京アンダーグラウンドシーンの新たなシンボルとして台頭している何よりの証拠でもある。 前回開催時、コスタリカのヒプノティックテクノミュージックプロジェクト、Linear Systemの別名義であるHattori Hanzo、〈Edit Select〉でリリースするHattori HanzoのレーベルメイトでもあるYrsenを共に招聘した4周年から5ヶ月、今回は現行テクノシーンのキーパーソンPsykを招聘。Planetary Asssualt Systemの「Tweleve」のリミックスや、ベルリンの名門〈Tresor〉のLondownやNonシリーズなど、神経質とも取れるほどの緻密で精細なリリースを重ねながら、Luke Slater率いる〈Mote〉からデビューアルバム「Time Foundation」をリリース。以降著名レーベルから、コンスタントにリリースを重ねる彼のトラックは多くのヴェニューでプレイされ、その芸術性とイマジネーションは多くのテクノラバーから定評を得ている。かのOscar Muleroと共に長期間にわたって交流し、Second Skinという両者による別名義のプロジェクトを始動し、James Ruskinの〈Bluprint Recrods〉からリリース。クリエイション、イマジネーション、フィーリング共に、自身のスタイルやアティチュードを確立し、提示し続ける彼は現在進行形の要注目アーティストの1人である。 さらにこの度、〈Liquid Drop Groove〉よりYUTAが出演。沖縄のオープンエアフェスティバル Agaitidaのキュレーションは然ることながら、都内ヴェニューにおいても多数のベクトルでキュレーションを行うマルチタレントなYUTA。松果体主宰のUGとENTERにてディープテクノプロジェクトPendulumを開始し、先日リスニングミュージックの観点からアプローチした、ダンスフロアとは一線を画する別プロジェクトArryhthmic Pendulumを成功させ、空間の構築、ブッキング、そしてトランシーでサイケデリックな選曲で完膚なきまで精神世界へと導く自身のDJは、ダンスミュージックの範疇を超え壮大なストーリーを創造する開拓者として、東京のテクノシーン、強いてはディープテクノやアンダーグラウンドミュージックシーンで異彩を放つ稀有な存在である。 松果体レジデントの2人と相異なる時代軸から切り出される、数多のアイデアで異なるビジョンを切り拓く松果体の隠し包丁tec、ファーストEP「Awakening EP」をリリースし、テクノを介した身体への訴求力の高いアプローチで、制作、活躍現場ともにフィールドを拡張し続けるゼネラリストAllA、共和と躍進をテーマにフロアを押し上げ、コンクレートとキッチュが共存するアヴァンギャルディストであり本パーティの首謀者であるUG、レジデント3者とのコンビネーションには期待がかかる。 "As Above, So Below." 忘我と忘執の先に垣間見える、孤独なセーフスペース。反復されるイマーシブなサウンドスケープが絶えず視覚と聴覚を刺激し、緻密に錬成された巧拙な電子音が、アイデンティティやパーソナルから想念を解放する。五感を超えた第六感、刺激された松果体が、貴方を無念無想の境地へ誘う。 Open 22:00 ¥2000 Door ※You must be over 20 with photo ID. 本公演では20歳未満の方のご入場は一切お断りさせて頂きます。 年齢確認の為、ご入場の際に全ての方にIDチェックを実施しております。 写真付き身分証明証をお持ち下さい。
