Epoka returns to our favourite Hackney Wick home—and this time, we’re going live.
Headlining the night is a very special performance from the Dancehall Queen of Switzerland, Lateena Plummer, joined by her dancers The Dolls (Luxury & Colombiana). Born in Jamaica and now based in Switzerland, Lateena’s shows are a fearless celebration of queer dancehall culture—fusing twerking, acrobatics and ballroom flair with raw bashment energy.
Behind the decks, Guatemalan DJ/producer Bony Fly (Dimelow, Dancehall Fusion) blends Latinx and Caribbean sounds with ease. Bony Fly has long been bridging the gap between caribbean and latinx soundsystem music, with everything from 90s dancehall and old skl perreo, to cutting edge dembow and a stack of his own productions.
Kicking things off is LAPUTAMA, firing out a mix of perreo inspired by the sounds she grew up listening and dancing to in Bogotá, Colombia. And as always, Epoka residents Bushbby and Papaoul hold it down with their signature blend of alternative Latin club sounds—from cumbia and guaracha to baile funk and beyond.
If you arrive after your ticket time you will be asked to make up the difference on the door. Final entry 1.30am.
