Due to massive popular demand, Ariapita Social Club is returning to the Jago for one night only for a special Homecoming event! This will be the only Ariapita of the year so do not lack!
In classic Ariapita style, our selectors will be bringing you warm and joyful energy in the form of soca, dancehall, bouyon, afrobeats, reggaeton, dembow and more, along with a dash of bouncy South Asian and Swana riddims to perfect the stew.
**Venue and Safer Spaces Policy**
The Jago is a historic black-owned community venue located 5 minutes walk from Dalston Junction and Haggerston Windrush line stations. It has a big downstairs room with a stage and dancefloor and a beautiful refurbished upstairs bar with seating and a second dance floor. The downstairs room is accessible on the ground floor. There are gendered and gender neutral toilets available.
The venue has a safer spaces policy, developed in collaboration with Girls Against:
"The Jago has a strict zero tolerance policy to any form of:
Sexual assault
Harrassment
Discrimination
Bullying
Spiking
If you feel unsafe at any point during your time at the Jago please talk to us. Our staff and security are here to help.
We expect all audience members to follow our safer space policy. There will be consequences for perpetrators."
