Hailing from Bristol—a city renowned for its powerful soundsystem culture that deeply shaped their musical expression—the Gorgon Sound project was born out of their shared love for militant dub. Since their early releases in the 2010s, they’ve performed alongside the biggest names in soundsystem music, with records released on respected labels like Deep Medi, Peng Sound, and Moonshine Recordings. After gigs at UK seaside festivals, Gorgon Sound are coming to Zagreb for the first time—and we’re certain their show at Attack will be unforgettable for all lovers of dub, dubstep, and related genres. ✰ 𝑫𝑨𝑹𝑾𝑰𝑵 (𝑫𝑬) ✰ As a DJ and head of the SPE:C label, Darwin is known for pushing the boundaries of UK soundsystem music into the heart of the techno scene. She’s the founder of REEF, a series of 24-hour raves blending genres with a focus on bass and breakbeat styles. Since 2014, Darwin has been a key figure in Berlin’s underground. REEF began at the legendary Griessmuehle before moving to Berghain, where Darwin curates full takeovers three times a year. Beyond DJing, she spreads her passion for the UK sound through the SPE:C label, championing new talent from nearly every continent. With work across all fronts, Darwin continues to push the future of club music in a bass-heavy direction. ✰ 𝑭𝑼𝑵𝑲 𝑮𝑼𝑹𝑼 ✰ Funk Guru is one of the founders of the CFSN collective, responsible for some of Zagreb’s most important club nights like Illectric Funk, CFSN Sundays, Videoskop, playground!, and the Illectricity Festival. After years dedicated to drum’n’bass, he moved into dubstep in 2005, and in recent years, has blended a wide spectrum of electronic genres—from the drone sounds of Oneohtrix Point Never and Visionist’s new-school grime, to dBridge’s post-d’n’b and Teklife’s juke/footwork rhythms. Though bass-heavy influences remain present in his sets, as a skilled DJ and selector, everything depends on the context and moment. For this occasion, he’ll keep you wide awake until the house lights come on! ✰ 𝑲𝑶𝑹𝑫𝑶𝑶𝑴 𝑯𝑰-𝑭𝑰 𝑺𝑶𝑼𝑵𝑫𝑺𝒀𝑺𝑻𝑬𝑴 ✰ Resident sound at Dub Affair sessions and passionate lovers of all foundation styles. Ranking Roko and Jah Vuki’s selection spans everything from the golden era of JA roots, to new roots and UK steppers—with a focus on bass over kick! In recent years they’ve been active in booking top-tier dub acts, hosting the likes of Ras Muffet, Ital Power, Shaolin Sound, Concrete Lion, as well as a range of local selectors. For this session, they’re going all in—expect six subs and a new mid-top section (if the drivers arrive in time)! Tickets will be available at the doors.
