Sound Circles: An Evening in the Round
April 22, 2025 | 8–10 PM | Human Resources
Tickets: $20 (Tickets required, no RSVP)
Central Server Works is proud to curate Sound Circles, an evening of performance presented as part of Coaxial Arts Foundation’s 10-Year Anniversary Festival.
Headlining the night is The Album Leaf, the influential project of composer and multi-instrumentalist Jimmy LaValle, who has been crafting meditative, genre-blurring soundscapes since 1999. Known for his pioneering integration of electronics and organic instrumentation, LaValle’s live set promises an immersive journey through layered atmospheres and emotional resonance.
This special program unfolds in a unique round-table format, where the audience is seated in the round—dissolving the boundary between performer and listener. The evening also features a collaborative performance by:
Emma Palm and Marc Merza – A duo merging analog synths, field recordings, and ritual instrumentation, creating a tactile, audiovisual dialogue that flows between ambient textures and sonic ritual.
Leanard Smith (DJ)
Joshua Oduga (DJ)
Sound Circles invites audiences to experience sound as a spatial and relational act—an intimate space for contemplation, connection, and vibration. Join us for a night of sonic exploration and performance rooted in community and experiment.
