April is the best season to try something new! Our spring meetup event will focus on beginners featuring 2 Ableton Certified Trainers and an expert of performing live with machines as presenters
April is where you welcome the coming of spring, start a new school year, and dive into your new way of living. Hence it's a great season for you to start something new. To get you covered, Ableton Meetup Tokyo's upcoming meetup event entitled "for beginners" will focus on those who are new to music production or Ableton Live software itself.
Sakura Tsuruta, known as a live performer, DJ, Ableton Certified Trainer, and a semi-regular presenter for Ableton Meetup Tokyo (AMT), will address her frequently asked questions including how you can setup Ableton Live, get yourself familiarized with Live's browser, and save your files in a streamlined fashion.
Akim, a bassist and an Ableton Certified Trainer, also known as a legendary blog reporter for AMT, will show up as a presenter in-person for the first time in 6.5 years. In his presentation, he will talk you through how you can add more groove to your music from the bassist's point of view, thus you may find it valuable even when you aren't new to music production anymore.
As a beginner, you may want to see some actual workflow of music production in action, well, you can! Our another presenter Yebisu303, a music maker, will tackle the "20 min challenge" where he will create a track in 20 minutes from scratch. This is your opportunity to witness how this machine-live expert creates a track on-the-fly with Ableton Live.
For AMT's classic Touch&Try booth we have some products from Alpha Theta. While they are already well-known as a DJ equipment provider with their Pioneer DJ brand, their Alpha Theta brand focuses on products for music production and audio equipment. In this event, they will show Chordcat, a chord progression generative machine, and their wireless product such as headphones and speakers.
Ableton Meetup Tokyo has a student discount. Make sure to bring and show your student ID at the entrance to receive a 50% discount. As the holiday streak in May is just around the corner, get yourself inspired at Ableton Meetup Tokyo to start your music production as your holiday activity.
