Sat 3rd May free entry tickets from RA For all those who have been attending the ‘ Just Good Grooves ‘ monthly events how good was the last one on April 5th We were surprised ourselves to see so many ‘ happy clubbers and lovers of the music we’re fast building a reputation for playing once a month at the Horse and Groom !! Date of our next event will be Saturday 3rd May the night will start at 6pm and will be ending at 1am with the music again played by Resident DJ’s Henderson and Michael Speaks Resident DJ : Henderson Henderson’s early days of DJing began as early as his secondary school days (1976 -1978 ) where he would get behind the decks at the school’s youth club ‘ The Shack ‘ from 1987 -1992 he built a respectable reputation for playing boogie , rare groove and soul alongside the likes of : Madhatter ‘ Trevor ‘Bobbi & Steve , Jerry Lewis , Trevor Griffiths ‘ Colin Dale … and the legends & late greats Dez Parkes and Paul ‘ Trouble’ Anderson !! from 1992 - 2023 Henderson took a break from the DJing scene till reappearing at Poetic Funk and with help from his close friend Manish has now obtained residency at No: 26 .. Curtain Road ( Where he calls his last Friday of the Month nights .. ‘ just good grooves’ .. Guest : Michael Speaks Thanks to the social club scene of 1975, listening to Soul/Funk and Disco plus from late 1976 watching George Power (Crackers W1) play on the decks ,he developed a passion, from playing as earliest as then to the present day where he is a DJ on TSOL (The Soul of London Radio) and DJing at clubs,private parties and the odd caribbean Jazz/Funk/Soul Antigua beach sessions.
