Alexander Flood mit neuem Album auf Tour. Alexander Flood ist einer der führenden Beat-Master Australiens und verfügt über ein raffiniertes Arsenal an Groove, Power und Schlagzeug-Knowhow. Alex leitet seine eigene Band vom Schlagzeugstuhl aus und erschließt mit seiner Musik eine frische, rhythmische und dynamische Welt der Live-Dance-Musik mit Nu-Jazz, Deep-House, Broken Beat, DnB, Funk und experimentellen Sounds. Mit seinem dritten Album “OSCILLATE“ (2023), erschienen auf dem Berliner Label Jakarta Records, verband er australische und europäische Einflüsse und trieb die tanzflächenorientierte Clubmusik in eine völlig neue Richtung. Sein viertes Studioalbum “ARTIFACTUAL RHYTHM“, erschienen bei der Atjazz Record Company, beweist, dass er noch mehr Fahrt aufgenommen hat. Floods Band besteht aus einigen der besten Instrumentalisten Australiens – Erica Tucceri an der Flöte, Jake Amy am Keyboard und Dylan Paul am Bass, der seit zehn Jahren mit Alex zusammenspielt. Die Band hat in Australien und international enormes Renommee erlangt und ist unter anderem beim WOMADelaide, dem Melbourne International Jazz Festival, JazzMontez Frankfurt und in Clubs in ganz Europa aufgetreten. Leading his own band from the drum chair, Alex’s music pushes a fresh rhythmic and dynamic realm of live dance music leaning on nu-jazz, deep-house, broken beat, DnB, funk, and experimental sounds. 2023 saw Flood align with Berlin’s Jakarta Records to release his third album ”OSCILLATE”, forging a new direction in dance music and bringing together Australian & European artistry, energy and collaboration. Flood continues the momentum through 2025, with his bold sounding 4th studio album ”ARTIFACTUAL RHYTHM” to be released in April via Atjazz Record Company (run by none other than the notable UK DJ Atjazz). Flood’s band consists of some of Australia’s finest instrumentalists - Erica Tucceri on flute, Jake Amy on keyboards, and Dylan Paul holding down the low end on bass, who has played together with Alex for 10 years. The band is catching ears within Australia and internationally, having recently performed at WOMADelaide, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, JazzMontez Frankfurt and clubs across Europe.
