The Reason Why presents POR LA CUAL THE IDEA: There are individuals who are beyond passionate in their pursuit of a craft or experience, unbridled dedication spans music, art, extreme sports, food and cultural influence. This pursuit of their chosen venture at times appears crazy to those outside viewers, the audience does not understand the motivation behind the actions. They ask why? Why the late nights? Why spend all this time? Why, why… why? The question is why. The answer is simple, the actions you see are the motive ‘by which’ (por la cual) our people choose to engage in their day to day. It’s their driving force, the reason they rise in the morning and the cause for late nights spent furthering the mastery. What is your reason, by which, you find yourself here with us tonight? ABOUT THE NIGHT: Por La Cual features a diverse range of headliners, local djs to enhance the journey throughout the night and a layer of decor to make Monkey Loft feel like, well, not Monkey Loft. RAISING FUNDS FOR APOG & SAUK-SUIATTLE INDIAN TRIBE: APOG is a volunteer run event and goes really big on production, sound, and headliners. Most years APOG hosts a fundraiser to cover some additional "cool sh!t" for the event. This year is no different. As the festival itself takes place on the unceded ancestral lands of the Tribe APOG felt it important to take this opportunity to give back and support the SAUK-SUIATTLE INDIAN TRIBE. Proceeds donated to the Tribe will be to assist with the elder lunch program. This year's festival is already sold out. Raffle tickets are being sold to raise funds and give a lucky person the chance to still attend. Raffle tickets are included as a presale option and also available for purchase at the event. Proceeds from the raffle will be split between APOG and the SAUK SUIATTLE INDIAN TRIBE. ABOUT THE HOST: Rob has been highly involved in Seattle nightlife for about a decade, promoting, djing, working behind the scenes to create some of the most prominent experiences in Seattle. Public and private. This event series taking place on Second Saturdays is his most recent idea turned into reality. After ruminating and waiting for the right opportunity, about 4 years later, it's finally come to life. Rob aka Unknown Player will be a staple on the series as the night is an embodiment of his creative vision top to bottom, decor to sounds. Closing the night on a regular basis both solo and with guests he will show you what this whole thing is truly meant to look, feel and sound like. While he is quite adept behind the decks, you'll be able to enjoy some of his own creations throughout the space. Art pieces he's spent countless hours hand crafting for various events and ultimately finding their home within Por La Cual. Funny enough nothing looks out of place. He appreciates the people who both know what the night means to him and those simply joining by chance. You'll no doubt feel the warmth and care he's put into all parts of curating this unique experience for you all.
