SEEK REFUGE_5.3.25_DRUM & BASS_JUNGLE_FUTURE MUSIC with
Craig Gonzalez, Homemade Weapons, and Kay-S
For this month's Refuge we dive into the deep; where experimental polyrhythmics and otherworldly sonics carry you into unexplored territory. Your guides on this tour will be two undisputed masters of the craft; Craig Gonzalez and Homemade Weapons.
Special guest Craig Gonzalez is a veteran and a pillar of the Detroit scene. Gonzalez is deeply influenced by the musical depth of Detroit and the hypnotic craft of global artists, with a style that reflects a rich, interconnected network of like-minded creators. His lifelong passion for music began with hiphop and the underground party scene, but has grown to encompass many genres such as techno, house, hip hop, funk, and dnb.
Refuge favorite; Homemade Weapons returns to the decks. His approach to percussive bass driven music tiptoes the boundaries of Jungle, Drum-N-Bass, and Techno, oftentimes finding itself in mixed genre presentations for its singularity. Homemade Weapons music exhibits a combination of subtlety, power, and depth, rare in any genre, but much more so in the confines of Drum-N-Bass music. We can think of few others that fully represent the sounds of "Future Music" and we are honored to have him back on the decks.
Setting us on this journey will be Refuge resident and purveyor of oddities; Kay-S.
