Om Ensemble: MI YÁ, Kaya, M Lissoni

We're back at Spanners for our second outing, with some very talented friends of Om Ensemble as well as exciting additions to the roster. First is electronic experimental artist, Mi Yá, debuting at Spanners and fixed on the bill for the first time with Om Ensemble. The white cat combination of ambient textures with dub and minimal music. Layering with everyday sounds that surround you with rhythmic complexity. Analog music. Future music. Talk to algorithm 32. M Lissoni is the founder of STIGMATA, an independent publishing and curatorial platform, operating at the intersection of print, moving-image and public programming. They will be presenting a special screening of 'Educastration', a film that pays homage to the Italian philosopher Mario Mieli, whose work within the queer liberation movement in the 1970s sought to subvert normative structures and rethink the politics of desire and identity. Residents of Om will be playing throughout the night. Kaya, an alias of Engin Eskici will be performing a live set and other Om Ensemble residents will be performing as trombone, cello and percussion trio.
