Akrav (FR / Ombra International)

Since his earliest childhood Akrav has been immersed in various musical spheres. Thanks to his rock enthusiast father or his opera singer godmother, he made up his own eclectic culture, from classical music to pop, wave, post punk, hip hop or rap music. Only five years ago he opted for the turntables to make us enjoy his culture and influences. This unique and broad universe comes out in each of his DJ sets, plunging the dancefloor in a hypnotic and striking atmosphere, by combining wave sounds as well as energising andmassive basses. Therefore these collections offer a genuine overview that extends from downtempo rhythms to the borders of techno music, through dark disco and indie dance : the audience has to let go and physically experience the music, which is truly new and deep. For all these reasons, Akrav was naturally led to play at Bricks Festival, at Fabulous Festival, where he stood alongside artists such as Damon Jee, Adriatique, Popof, Dixon or Ame. He also travelled overseas to make people dance at the Americas bar, a reference South American club. In addition, Akrav is in residence at Āsthetics, a Mexican label and at the renowned Nein Records label in Berlin. In short, this is a booming start for this young and talented artist, whose music is as catching ashis happiness.
