He is also one half of the duo NxWorries (pronounced “No Worries”) alongside Anderson .Paak. Together, they have released two critically acclaimed albums, Yes Lawd! (2016) and Why Lawd? (2024). Their second album, Why Lawd?, won the 2025 Grammy Award for Best Progressive R&B Album. As a producer, Knxwledge has an impressive track record, contributing to Kendrick Lamar's Grammy-winning album To Pimp a Butterfly by producing the platinum-certified track "Momma." In addition, he has collaborated with notable MCs such as Joey Bada$$, Earl Sweatshirt, and Action Bronson, earning a respected position as one of the leading producers in modern hip-hop. Raised in South New Jersey, he grew up immersed in gospel music at church, B-Boy culture, and the R&B records his older sisters loved. At 14, he began experimenting with beat-making, laying the foundation for his distinctive sound. His music flourished after moving to Los Angeles, where he quickly gained recognition from Low End Theory and the legendary Stones Throw Records. The label went on to release his three albums—Yawn Zen (2014), Body Wash (2016), and Rare Pleasure (2021)—establishing him as one of its defining artists. His latest studio album, Rare Pleasure, marked a creative milestone as his first live band recording. Drawing inspiration from R&B, film scores, psychedelia, and jazz, the album features collaborations with Kiefer, Swarvy, Carlos Niño, Fousheé, Devin Morrison, Anna Wise, and more. Beyond his solo work, Mndsgn has produced for a diverse range of artists, including Joyce Wrice, SiR, Tyler, The Creator, Danny Brown, Doja Cat, Fatima, and CHAI.
