Synesthesia: Open Mic Night and Dancing with sounds by Klipdagga

Synesthesia ~ in music is when a person experiences music through another sense, such as seeing colors or shapes. This open mic will focus on the intersections of synesthesia and creativity, specifically poetry/writing inspired by experiences with music and dance! We know it can be challenging to make time to create, so we hope you’ll join us as we body double/throuple/quadrouple etc in community ;) We will begin with curated readings, before open writing time (with sounds by klipdagga), before an community open mic (where you can share something you’ve written previously, written for this event, written during the open writing time together) 7PM – curated readings 7:20PM –writing time 7:50PM – open mic This collaboration between @queering_existentialism @kallycompton @cowgirlcontent at @jupiter_disco is a continuation of our intentional flow poetry event workshop series. You can find our first digital zine HERE. __________ Jupiter Disco is a safe space for all. Our most important goal is to ensure everyone who steps into our space feels welcome and safe. In order to achieve this goal, it's mission critical that everyone approaches each other with respect. That means everyone.
