Daylight Savings is back to say hello to spring. And we’re full of the joys of it, bringing you a boatload of the finest sounds and lights for 8 hours at our London home, The Bath House.
After selling out Basket of Light in 30 minutes earlier this month, we’ve been inundated with requests for tickets. We will be giving away a pair of hot hot tickets to Basket of Light this September in our raffle at Daylight Savings along with other flotsam and jetsam we gather around the city. All brought to you by Gareth the weatherman from the BBC world service.
The music and what it’s about:
Tonina LIVE
Tonina is vocalist, bassist, and songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York and hails from St. Louis, Missouri, where her musical journey began. Raised in a family of diverse musicians, Tonina's musical roots find their way through funk, soul, jazz, classical, folk and rock. Her live shows are a cool river and a rushing tide. It’s not often she’s in the UK for shows so we’re very, very excited she’s stopping by the Bath House for this.
Lush Lata
After being blown away by Lush Lata’s set at Magnetic Fields festival in Rajasthan in December, we knew we had to get her down to Daylight Savings. Lush Lata is a DJ, Producer, and Curator from New Delhi,, renowned for her genre-defying sets. Led by her love for bass music and its intersections with rock, RNB, hip-hop, and beyond. She regularly tours India and Europe, and has played in legendary spaces such as Panorama Bar, Corsica Studios and Razzmatazz. We can’t wait to lose it for her set!
AUKA
AUKA is the creative moniker of trombonist, DJ, audio-visual artist and all-round legend, Viva Msimang. AUKA’s DJ sets are an homage to the mighty continents of Africa, South America, and the beating heart of the diaspora, joining the dots between Pan-African and Latinx rhythms past and present.
Tambourine Hands
Fresh from listening to stacks of music ahead of this year’s Basket of Light, Polly and Austin will be playing tunes from 4pm for the early risers and sauna dwellers. Come down and say hello.
If you’ve not been to our London home before, the venue is a majestic community space with the city’s best sound system, saunas, a cafe and artist studios. The garden will be pumping and so will the saunas as usual.
Only one rule: the dancefloor is for everyone. It’s that simple. There is no space for disrespect, harassment and exclusion at BoL events. There is space for love, inclusion and freedom!
See you in the dance x
