Calling all dancers! Very happy to reveal our first dance and lineup coming April 20th!! @micklegatesocial For our first party we've invited a dear friend and incredible selector Danny Bodega aka @spanielkopita Now based in London, California-born Danny Bodega has recently made the well plied migration route from Naarm/ Melbourne where he had been collecting and sharing records for more than a decade. As co-label head of Naarm based reissue record label Gazebo Records, he has a history of embracing the weird, wonderful and humble from digging trips and dancefloors all over the globe - we're in for a real treat We've also got York legend and DJ extraordinaire Jono @_jono_dj warming up our dancefloor with his vast array of jazz, soul and disco! We are in safe safe hands, for the last year and a half Jon has been a key part of the @lift_your_feet crew, putting on their very own DIY Dances around York and Leeds, booking Du's like Charlie Dark, Ben Hauke and Mikey D.O.N Jon is also a dear friend and one of the reasons Lovedancin' had to be made! If you're from York you will know just how hard @_jono_dj works to bring amazing events to this city - it only felt right to ask him to grace the decks! And finally we've got myself! @_henrymyers_aka Enrico Lovedancin' resident DJ and York local. l've been a collector of vinyl for over 10 years l've been looking forward to throwing our first Lovedancin' party for some time now! Inspired by some of the many parties around York over the years (Freakin/ Rhumboogie/Lift Your Feet etc) Expect a deep dive into Soul, Disco and House music in its many forms.
