A night of experimental electronics, noise + live performance from acts working with synthesis, sound design, electro-acoustics and voice. An all female, queer and non-binary lineup. ~ Axine M is the moniker of music artist Maxine de las Pozas. The Ancient Greek Axenos, or "inhospitable place," is a name for the Black Sea before nautical technology was advanced enough to safely traverse the water. Axine M is a vessel for musical inquiries and creative impulses across multiple genres and sentiments, carving out a space for itself against the grain of the dystopian imaginary. A recent self-released tape, USUSUSESESERERER (pronounced "user"), is a songwriterly exploration of interpersonal relationships under late-capitalism. She works as a Sound Engineer and Technician. Bridget Ferrill & Áslaug Magnúsdóttir bring a collaborative performance that fractures and reweaves classical elements through handmade electronics and computer music. Their 2022 release, Woodwind Quintet (Subtext), showcases a compositional practice rooted in extended instruments, interactive systems, and noise-based behaviour. Ferrill is a Berlin-based composer and synthesiser builder who works at the intersection of noise and composition. Magnúsdóttir is a Copenhagen-based artist whose sculptural approach to instruments pushes the boundaries of conventional music, engaging with programming and sound art to construct unconventional forms. AM sin is a London-based duo fusing modular synthesis with live processed vocals to craft immersive, emotionally charged performances. Rooted in experimental electronics, dark ambient, and fluxwork, their sets lean into layered textures, spectral sound design, and live vocal improvisation. Since launching, they’ve performed across venues like Spanners, M.O.T, The Bath House, Avalon Café and algha’s plantroom, as well as London Fashion Week via collaborations with Indra Gallery, THE COLD MAGAZINE, and POET-LAB.
