Following the release of his Placid Wakefulness EP on our label, Michael Diamond presents a unique performance alongside his creative partner, saxophonist Alex Flower. The pair once again weave together jazz and electronic music, angling their singular sound into new, unexplored places specially for this night.
They are joined by South London talent Jay Duncan, off the back of her excellent percussive-dub releases on the brilliant labels Baroque Sunburst and Al Wootten's Trule. Jay will be trusted with closing duties on the night, with a rare late-night-early-morning two hour set.
We are happy to welcome friend of the label Gaby D'Annunzio. A key founding member of Open Music Lab and Refuge Worldwide, and resident at Sister Midnight. Gaby is an activist pioneering grassroots musical spaces, and we admire her a lot. She is an extremely tasteful selector, with a sound that is varied, spacey, sensitive and emotional.
Mani returns to Vasuki gracing us with her signature genre-bending selections with pristinely technical mixing. Who knows what she will play, but it is always a set not to be missed - one for the DJs in the crowd.
Our own sea elegans will further develop its exploration of things across techno, dub, jungle, jazz, and krautrock, loosely foreshadowing its upcoming LP album 'Escapement'. Expect some unreleased tracks that have been in the works for a long time.
They will be supported by Vasuki family member Att0sec, who is entrusted to warm up the space with a hybrid set. His tools will be his trusty drumsticks, trigger pads, and copy of Ableton Live.
