Warped Wednesdays: The Final Chapter Part 1 Following yesterdays announcement that we are sadly bringing this series to an end, we’ve still got some serious shows lined up for you over the next month and a half! For the first of our final six Warped Wednesdays, we’re buzzing to welcome Plastician and Just Jane to the XLR basement for a first time ever b2b! Ultra heavyweight and pioneer of the early Grime and Dubstep movements, Plastician has been one of the most influential figures in the UK underground music scene over the past two decades. Hailing from Croydon, South London, he found himself in the centre of the growing movements and growing influence of the underground scene. From working with artists such as Skepta, Skream and even Snoop Dogg, to bringing through artists such as Joker and OM Unit, as well as playing a key role in putting Grime and Dubstep on the global map, Plastician has solidified himself as a legend of the scene. We’re also excited to welcome back fellow South Londoner Just Jane to XLR, following her unreal debut set with us last year. Her eclectic sound, spanning the likes of Dubstep, UKG, Grime, Techno, Electro and beyond, allows her to shut down the dance every time she steps up to the decks. With backing from some of the biggest names and publications in the game, Just Jane is here to stay and continue making serious noise! We can’t wait to see what we’re in store for next Wednesday when these two seminal forces link up for the very first time for a solid 2 hours!
