DTE X 30 years of Sonic Groove: Adam X, Mike Parker, Annika Wolfe

DTE is back to kick off the summer with Adam X and Mike Parker of Sonic Groove, celebrating 30 years of one of the most influential techno labels in the world. Adam X delivers a raw, genre-defying fusion of techno deeply rooted in the underground ethos of the early NYC rave scene. His often dark, abrasive, and uncompromising sound, is always dancefloor-focused, and shaped by decades of evolution and experimentation. He was instrumental in pushing acid techno in the '90s and later became a pioneer in merging industrial textures and rhythms with techno frameworks—essentially laying the groundwork for what’s now widely recognized as industrial techno. Joining Adam X from his Sonic Groove label will be a DJ set from none other than Mike Parker, bringing a hypnotic and experimental strain of techno, defined by its ritualistic intensity, minimalist precision, and deep sense of abstraction. With a style that’s instantly recognizable, he has spent over two decades crafting immersive sonic environments that pulse with relentless energy and cerebral depth. His tracks often revolve around evolving rhythmic patterns and subtly shifting textures, creating a trance-like experience rooted in repetition and nuance. Rounding out the night is LA's Annika Wolfe. Their music is a high-energy fusion of electro, techno, EBM, and old-school house, characterized by rhythm-forward production, pounding drums, and hypnotic synth work. Their sound channels the spirit of the '80s while projecting a distinctly futuristic edge, resulting in tracks that are both raw and refined—perfectly suited for the dancefloor.
