High Tide returns on May 31 as we kick off summer at Standard Time. We’re excited to present DJibouti alongside Yaya, Babl and Birley.
DJibouti has been making waves in the New York City scene for a minute. Starting out by hustling his way to opening slots for legendary DJs like Louie Vega, DJibouti eventually began headlining his own events at clubs in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. Honing in on his craft, and refining his own unique sound – DJibouti shines amidst the saturated electronic space.
He just released his latest EP “MOON DOG” which showcases his talent for crafting versatile music, from smooth, laidback deep house to upbeat, club-ready house, always with a warm, analog sound and lots of soul. Whether he’s holding court at a packed-out party in the Lower East Side, Chelsea, Tribeca, Brooklyn or beyond, it’s easy to see why DJibouti has quickly become one of the most talked-about rising stars on the circuit.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Kerri Chandler, Black Loops, Daft Punk, and Inland Knights, DJibouti has honed his craft through underground raves and parties, as well as through his dynamic edits and tracks on Soundcloud and Spotify.
Supporting the night is DJ and producer Yaya, bringing her signature eclectic and vibrant selections. An AFROTONIK and Bar Datcha regular, Yaya has been a mainstay of the Montreal scene for years, and has also played everything from Igloofest, Boiler Room Montreal, OfF Piknic, Avec Courage, Habibi Boom and more. She’ll have her USB ready to take us on a sonic journey.
Support also comes from BABL – a Toronto-based DJ and production duo weaving deep house, broken rhythms, and global percussion into fluid, groove-heavy sets. Their sound is eclectic but grounded—warm, percussive, and always tuned to the energy of the floor. Influences of dub run through both their DJ sets and original productions, adding depth and texture without losing momentum. They’re a High Tide favourite and we’re thrilled to be presenting them again.
Toronto-based DJ Birley rounds out the night.
Tickets are on sale now. See you May 31.
