In the early ‘90s, young Gerd Janson was a regular at Mannheim’s Milk Club–a venue that helped popularize jungle in Germany, but Gerd was eager for the sunrise hours when house was the sound. Over time, he developed his own house and disco sound, eventually co-hosting the Liquid night at Frankfurt’s beloved Robert Johnson club.
When he’s not DJing, he can be found running German label Running Back alongside Thorsten Scheu (aka Glance), writing about music for Groove Magazine, or working at the Pentagon record shop in Darmstadt–all opportunities to evolve his craft and explore new music. His return to the Nowadays booth promises a journey through musical gems from many eras, a musical adventure for the heads.
