SUBSTANCE

2004年にスタートし、今年で21年目を迎えるDJ KANETOSHI主宰のロングラン・パーティー「SUBSTANCE」。今回は4月28日（月・祝前日）にデイタイムでのスペシャルパーティーとして開催いたします。 今回のゲストは、90年代初頭にロンドンでDJ活動を開始。帰国後はMansfield名義などで多数のリリースを重ね、CM音楽やリミックスなど幅広く活躍。近年はcro-magnonの金子巧とのユニット「Coastlines」での作品が国内外で高い評価を得ている。バレアリック〜チルアウトを中心に、多様なジャンルを横断するMASANORI IKEDA氏、そして東京アンダーグラウンドを深く支える、KOJIRO aka MELTの両名を迎えます。 レジデントはおなじみKANETOSHIとJamon Iberico 祝前日の夜、渋谷KOARAで、いつもより少し早めのスタートでお待ちしています。 Founded in 2004, SUBSTANCE is one of Tokyo’s most enduring underground parties, hosted by DJ KANETOSHI. Known for its deep vinyl roots, genre-defying lineups, and laid-back but focused energy, the party has continued for over two decades while maintaining its commitment to quality music and an intimate dancefloor. This edition on April 28th (Mon / before a national holiday) brings a special early evening session to KOARA Shibuya, featuring two guest DJs. Masanori Ikeda began his career as a DJ in early ‘90s London, later returning to Tokyo to produce and remix music under various aliases including Mansfield. In recent years, he’s received international acclaim for his work with Coastlines, a chillout project with Takumi Kaneko (cro-magnon), releasing on respected labels like Music For Dreams. His sets blend Balearic, downtempo, obscure dance, and library sounds with seamless fluidity. Kojiro aka MELT started out in the ’90s as a guitarist in a punk band before shifting into DJing through a deep passion for New Wave and vinyl collecting. Since the 2000s, he’s played regularly at clubs like Yellow, Air, and Module, while cultivating a dubby crossover sound that bridges analog house music and digital experimentation. He currently runs the Tokyo-based label and event platform CHANNEL03, and has begun releasing original productions. Residents KANETOSHI (SINDBAD) and Jamon Iberico will be holding it down as always.
