LA's sultans of sleazeThe inception of WAREHOUSE PRESERVATION SOCIETY was less a posed intention than an imperative of mutual expression. It was only a matter of imperious time before Los Angeles residents, TK & Tavish, disseminated their own breed of dynamic acidic dancefloor energy. Their distinct musical resonance was automatic, and they leapt quickly to a partnered DJ chemistry, and jumped to crafting remixes and original material for the global nightlife community. They have now performed Glastonbury, Sunset Campout, Love International, and have woven the EU circuit back and forth.
In the culminating years, the Warehouse Preservation Society duo landed remix works with such esteemed artists as Daniele Baldelli & DJ Rocca (ultimately sitting aboard DJ Harvey’s 2nd Pikes Comp); plus flips for Hardway Bros, Romain FX, CiCi, Psychemagik, Tronik Youth, DJ Garth, and the legendary Gary Davis, plus a litany of others. They’ve naturally propagated originals as well; having neatly posited an EP and some bonus loosies with Bristol’s Futureboogie Recordings, and a knocker on Paramida’s Love On The Rocks label compilation. The coming year’s pipeline is chalk full of continuing releases, collaborations, and performances across music’s connective fabric…
TAVISH was born and raised within the Los Angeles music scene, adeptly transmuting from hip-hop to house & techno and back again. He has produced a wealth of records under different monikers and also collaborated with Sonns for a 12” with LA’s own ESP Institute.
TK (formerly TK Disko) cut his teeth in San Francisco’s fervent underground of the 90’s, and created a healthy sonic catalogue under the name Split Secs with partner Sonns. He has played more events than one can count, and thoroughly detonated dancefloors the world over.
