non sai is a working title.
It means we don’t know yet what awaits us in the future but most importantly we want to explore it together starting with this debut event at Celeste, Vienna.
It could also remind you of a bon sai, which in form is a minuscule tree and we don’t exactly know how it connects us to music but we certainly see everything, also the minuscule, as a leading stepping stone to dancing audaciously.
We are thrilled to announce our first guests from London to headline the event: ddwy.
Alongside, local Vienna based DJs luca carlotta and hiff are contributing to the night.
ddwy are the London based duo led by husband and wife, Naomi & Ronan (aka nangi & Inner Totality). The pair was introduced to the world via their hypnotic debut record ‘Sprig Songs’ released via Munich’s Public Possession.
As DJs, ddwy’s selections are grounded in deeply-dug yet timeless music, often featuring blissed out percussive rhythms and their signature live dub vocals inducing an atmosphere of spark and surprise. They’ve released celebrated mixes with NTS Radio, Love International and Bar Part Time.
hiff is a Vienna/Munich-based radio host and DJ. She moves between curated mixtapes and radio shows, as well as more experimental, non-exclusively electronic sounds in a danceable environment. An itch for a broader understanding of DJing drives her to quirky places, always with the joy of listening to music collectively at heart.
luca carlotta is a DJ and a producer of various styles of experimental music often incorporating field recordings. In his sets he wanders between genres such as Neo-Kraut, Dub, Spacerock, Synth Pop, the reviving IDM and more unconventional approaches to dance and non dance music.
All this wouldn’t be happening without our dearest Jonas Rall from Off Supply, who unfortunately can’t join the event this time. We are deeply thankful for all his support and work in the fore- and background.
Also big thank you to Tanja Turner for hosting us at Celeste.
