PHILLY TECHNO FAM,
Have you seen what’s been happening? Groovy techno’s hit Philadelphia, and it’s not letting go.
At FENDER BENDER, we’re all about bringing you the most groundbreaking, cutting edge techno experiences. That’s why this time, you’re in for an absolute treat.
This MAY 09, we present to you, Concrete Husband. A classically trained flutist by day, Concrete Husband is a mainstay in New York City’s underground techno scene by night - playing regularly at iconic venues as BASEMENT, Knockdown Center, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and H0l0. Concrete Husband is coming to Philly to hit us with a wave of psychedelic chaos through brutal, relentless techno.
If that was all, it would still be unreal, but to elevate this experience to the next level, he’s going to play for us on his flute!
IMAGINE: you’re in a dark, sweaty warehouse being seduced by the pounding rhythm of groovy techno, when deep in the night you hear a haunting melody being played expertly live on a flute.
Sounds like a dream, but it’s about to come true.
Local legends PHIL TY & APS are on support. With APS being a former Bossa Nova Civic Club resident, he will set the tone for the night with his fine selection of dark, hypnotic grooves. FENDER BENDER founder, PHIL TY will take things deeper with his unique energy.
With live flute music & techno blending into a rare combination, this is a night not to miss.
