Utopia presents: Toribio (NYC), Marcia Carr, KISA, JJAMZ

We welcome Brooklyn-based Toribio onto the Utopia dancefloor this April. One of those leading the resurgence of soulful house out in New York, the producer, singer and DJ joins us for a rare UK set this month in Peckham. A student of rhythm, with a background in church and jazz drumming as well as leading the live house fusion band Conclave, Toribio continues the rich musical legacy of those before him like Masters at Work and Joe Clausell. Also on the bill is London dance music stalwart Marcia Carr, purveyor of soulful and deep dance music for four decades, and the founder of Girlzblike. The ‘DJ’s DJ’, Marcia's sets can be taken anywhere from gospel house and jazz dance, to r’n’b, broken beat, Detroit techno and more.
