DJ Sotofett and DJ Fett Burger creators of the legendary Norwegian Sex Tags music / art / label / party project spin all night under the sails of the iconic Eora space during it's once a year maximisation for sound, lighting and dancing in the purpose built studio space
Sex Tags
Originally simply known as Sex Tags, the uncompromising Norwegian brothers DJ Sotofett and DJ Fett Burger have established a reputation on the global dance music scene for their unpredictable forays into the sonic worlds of Techno, Dub, Disco and Real House Music, often paralleled with any other matchable genre – if not all styles morphed into the space of one track. Championing a diversity of sounds across Techno and House, their Sex Tags Mania label has released everything from obscure Norwegian Disco to the worlds most minimal Techno vinyl record, while their Sex Tags Amfibia label leans toward Dub, Experimental, Jazz and Psychedelic sounds.
DJ FETT BURGER is an eclectic underground DJ and producer running the record label Sex Tags UFO (2010), the leftfield label-project Mongo Fett (2015) as well as the long lasting online tastemaker DJ-mix series Trushmix (2012).
He also ran the now defunct Disco/House record label Freakout Cult (2016-2018) and has presented the event and exhibition series "One" in Bergen, Norway since 2012 - a space where drawing, sound, installation and print works meet through exclusive DJ Fett Burger collaborations. Drawings and collages have also been regularly published under the B.L.A.D. brand and in his own SPLASH magazines since 2013.
With a constant but unpredictable flow numerous visual and musical side projects, remixes and collaborations constantly presented as exhibitions, publications, record releases or club nights.
As a DJ he is acclaimed for his diverse selection and long trippy sets with a solid base in House Music, Disco and Leftfield. He's not tied up to any genres, but is a 100% party DJ that keeps things odd and underground while doing his own thing at his own pace and desire.
DJ SOTOFETT is a resident DJ at the Tresor club in Berlin, and since getting two Technics SL-1210mk2 in 1999 his DJ-sets has been cemented as unexpected and unconventional, but still classic and straight-to-the-floor. Presented as shorter Detroit Techno, Electro & Real House Music sets, or the notoriously lengthy all-night journeys with a wide spectrum of dance music including Soul, Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Jungle, Hip-Hop, the absolute criterion is always true love for music.
Last year saw the light of "Resonance of Dub", a club concept with guest singers and sound effect units as tools for all styles of Dub music to meet the classic mixing approach of Techno clubs. Apart from mavericking the Sex Tags Mania and Amfibia imprints, he runs the Techno label WANIA (2010), and also the world's cheapest vinyl record distributor Fett-Distro. Sotofett's graphic work can be found on records and flyers since the late 90's, and he's also a cutting engineer at Manmade Mastering in Berlin.
DJ Sotofett's music production and remixes are a 1:1 reflection of what's found in his DJ-sets. Afro, Dub & Jazz productions can be found on London institution Honest Jon's Records, his Classic Techno & Electro collaborations with LNS are released by Tresor Records, with the [TRESOR.375] EP to be released this June. 2025 kick-started with Clone West Coast Series releasing the solo album "DJ Sotofett & the Colours of Computer Generated Instruments", quickly followed by the afro-dub and jazz album "No Warranty Dubs" where DJ Sotofett collaborates with Jimi Tenor & Kabukabu.
