It is a tremendous honour to welcome for the second time in less than a year an artist whose individual works—which as a whole are to be included in that group marked by the epithet of great—function as portals to changes in the perception of the eye, contortions of perspective that record some of the most particular visions, sensibilities and blind spots of a decaying epoch. For this occasion, Andy Stott will play at an unusual time and might reveal materials from a highly anticipated new album. Aiming to frame this sophomore performance on that focal point that illuminates the oppressive, brooding and miasmatic spectres of our time, we cannot find a more experienced psychopomp in traversing such a desolate passage than Kevin Richard Martin, the overlord of the foghorn sound system in which dub culture, doom metal, industrial music and isolationism collide in their most devastating form.
