Kicking off May on the right note, we’re bringing Cologne's Brutalism and Half Baked Records to UMI for a two-takeover night with Souleiman and Voigtmann.
In the Mainroom, Cologne-based collective Brutalism presents Souleiman—Metropolis resident, label owner, and DJ with an aptitude to move freely across the electronic music spectrum, known for his acute sense of narrative and a refined taste for the deep and eerie. Joining him is Lomi, founder of Brutalism - sculpting sonic forms through material, structure and textures- and Mariami, returning to UMI for a second time with her signature fluid and contrast-driven sets.
In the Studio, we’re handing over the keys to Half Baked Records. What started as an intimate Sunday gathering in East London back in 2009 has grown into a globally recognized movement. They’re bringing in Voigtmann, known for his deep vinyl expertise and distinctive sound, alongside Sam Bangura—co-founder of NorthSouth Records, one-half of Brainsurfers, and Half Baked resident, and UMI resident Rorson!
