UNPLUG! + Planet Synth + Monarch SF present: Rotorwerks on Thursday, May 20th — a night of electro, techno & breaks. We are more disconnected from each other than ever before. Glued to screens all day, and interacting with each other less and less in the real world. We date through apps, take cabs without drivers, shop onlin3 (or use self checkout), get takeout/groceries delivered, take onIin3 classes, have zoom meetings, work remotely, play video games with people onIin3, communicate via social media and text, \/\/atch DJs Iive5tream, have ai create our art, and so many other things that are depriving us of much needed community and human interaction. There is an epidemic of loneliness, depression, anxiety, addiction, self harm, and suicide as a result. UNPLUG! events try to create spaces where you can reconnect with each other without the urge to pull your phone out every few minutes. Let's f!ght brain rot together!
