Jean Pierre, the talented DJ/producer born in New York and now based in Barcelona, brings his acclaimed label Pakate to Japan for the very first time. With releases on iconic labels such as Cuttin’ Headz, Hot Creations, Desolat, Defected, and Deeperfect, and support from industry heavyweights like Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, Loco Dice, and Jamie Jones, Jean Pierre makes his long-awaited debut in Japan. His label Pakate is home to a roster of forward-thinking artists shaking dance floors around the world and is rapidly rising as one of the most exciting labels in the global scene. Joining him as a support act is Cartoon, a Japanese Tech House DJ/producer who made history as the first Japanese artist to sign with the legendary New York label ULTRA RECORDS, known for releasing music by world-class producers. Cartoon also runs sensor, a party and radio-driven label connecting underground vibes with international soundscapes. Also performing is Daitto, a Tech House DJ/producer who played at the ULTRA JAPAN RESISTANCE OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY last year and continues to release tracks on renowned international labels. He also serves as the organizer of this Pakate showcase. In March, Daitto released an original track on Pakate’s Miami Music Week Compilation, gaining strong support from major artists, and this event also doubles as the release party for that compilation. NY 生まれ、バルセロナ拠点の実力派 DJ/プロデューサー Jean Pierre が率いるレーベル Pakate が日本初上陸する。 Cuttin’ Headz、Hot Creations、Desolat、Defected、Deeperfect など名だたる名門レーベルからリリースし、Marco Carola や The Martinez Brothers、Loco Dice、Jamie Jones らトップアーティストからも熱い支持を受ける Jean Pierre が初来日。そんな彼が主宰する Pakate は、世界中のダンスフロアを揺らす革新的なアーティストを多数擁し、今最も注目すべき急成長中レーベルのひとつ。 サポートアクトには、名だたる世界的プロデューサーの作品をリリースしてきたNYの名門レーベル ULTRARECORDS と日本人初として契約し、パーティー、ラジオ連動型レーベルである sensor 主宰の Tech House DJ /プロデューサーの Cartoon が登場。 さらに、昨年の ULTRA JAPAN RESISTANCE OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY に出演し、海外有名レーベルから楽曲をリリースし続ける Tech House DJ/プロデューサーの Daitto が出演。今回のレーベルショーケースのオーガナイズも手掛ける。3月には Pakate から Miami Music Week のコンピレーションアルバムにてオリジナル楽曲をリリースし、著名アーティストからもサポートされており、今回はそのコンピレーションアルバムのリリースパーティーも兼ねている。 オープニングアクトには、九州発の House Music パーティー、AÉSTHETIC TOKYO のオーガイザー兼レジデント DJ の GooPer が務める。 イビサやマイアミなど現代ダンスミュージックの聖地の長きに渡って最も大きなトレンドであるサウンドを是非とも体感してほしい。
