This one’s a rather special one for us! We’ve been massive fans of Lovefingers for countless years. The man’s depth of knowledge opened our eyes to so many amazing new tunes via the early days of the Lovefingers blog. His ESP institute label/parties continue to be an anything goes, proving there’s magic to be found in every genre under the sun. We’ve been courting with the idea of bringing him over from LA since the early days of The Marina, so to finally get the chance is mind blowing! How do you make this situation even more mental?! You put David Holmes in the mix too!!! David really needs no introduction. His time he spent with us and everyone else at the pub, reinforced how much of a genuine man he is. A musical hero, a renegade and a genius in equal measure. Lovefingers and David have worked together remixing for each other or playing the same nights, but this will be the first time they’ve ever gone b2b, so this is truly something special! Four hours of two absolute professionals taking us on a journey We’ll also start the night off with one our dearest (and a Hastings local) Michelle McKenzie! We met Michelle on the dancefloor at The Marina Fountain and instantly became blood brothers. Although she’d spent most of her early life in music (being an agent and dj for many illustrious names and parties. Mr Holmes being one of her roster) she’d stepped back in recent years, fortunately the marina and our friendship thrust her back into the world of dj’ing and she since has become an indispensable part of our nights and Amateurism radio. While also dj’ing alongside such names as Decius, Richard Fearless, Radioactive Man, Manfredas and many more. The Hastings Masonic Hall continues our journey through the town we love, trying each time to offer unique experiences. We’ve always wanted to host a party here, so no better time than the present. We’ve always considered ourselves a cornerstone of the community, on the level and ready to party to the third degree! Thank you to everyone involved in making it happen!
