Tengu x Rinse FM presents: Surusinghe, Becky, Puzzy Wrangler Hosted by Jolie P

After a huge night linking up with Rinse FM last year we had to join forces once more. We are thrilled to have Surusinghe play for the first time at Tengu alongside local bass-cadets Becky & Puzzy Wrangler. In true Rinse style we had to invite an MC. A distinct emerging voice arriving to London’s already vastly populated scene, Jolie P will be hosting the show! See you in the dance! Meet Surusinghe, the genre-bending producer known for her innovative and percussive, bass-driven music. Born in Naarm/Melbourne and now residing in London, she has a unique blend of international influences that is reflected in her sound. Surusinghe's high energy sets and dynamic sound has sen her being booked at some of Europe's finest dancefloors such as Panorama Bar, Garage Noord, Printworks, Sub Club and Koko, and festivals Field Day, Waterworks, Lost Village, Snowbombing, FLY Open Air and Dialled In. Her debut EP was released last August via Steel City Dance Discs to rave reviews and support by some of electronic music's leading tastemakers such as Jamie xx, HAAi and VTSS. The EP soon became a firm favourite for DJ's during the summer festival circuit with Resident Advisor going as far as to declare 'GO TO' in their list of best tracks at Draaimolen Festival, and Mixmag featuring club-standout ‘HEAVEN' in their top tracks of 2022, solidifying Surusinghe's position as a rising star in the electronic scene. Each song is a piece of her, a conscious stream of thoughts, ideas, experiences and emotions perfectly communicated to her listeners. Whether sporting encapsulating bars atop dreamy hip hop beats, showcasing her vocal prowess on hypnotic R&B tracks, gassing crowds with infectious garage tunes or simply just speaking her mind on forthright spoken word pieces, Jolie P is an artist in a lane of her own creation, who, armed with her charm, lyricism and talent, is undoubtedly destined for greatness. Becky is a Dublin-based DJ and Co-Founder of collective and label, Fuaim Dublin. Her broad selections have landed her on lineups with a diverse array of talent from Anthony Naples to Plastician. Becky’s sets are heavily influenced by the UK soundscape, and effortlessly traverse genres, tightly weaving through bass, grime, dubstep, UK techno, progressive house, trance and everything in between. Something for all the family to enjoy. With an impressive repertoire, she's not only supported renowned artists like Joy Orbison, Todd Edwards, Interplanetary Criminal, Altern8, Spray, Adam Pits, and more, but also secured a spot at Boomtown Festival in the UK, courtesy of winning a mix competition with the highly esteemed Locked On Records. Becky is unmistakably carving her niche in the Irish music community and beyond. Puzzy Wrangler are a DJ double act known for their love of all things breaks and baile. Their sets span a broad range of genres, pulling from influences like oldskool hard house, junglist drums, british grime and brazilian funk. Since their beginning in 2022, they have hosted their own sold out shows, joined forces with local collectives, and have begun a monthly mix series dedicated to showcasing up and coming FLINTA DJs.
